Then knowing his penchant for "growth" and working out i think this kid is likely to beef up...sort of how Daniels did through his transition from college to pro. Bottom line i agree w/ those skeptical of throwing Rak into the SLB. I don't care if our 13th overall pick doesn't play every down...i do want to see him become an elite player at his natural position long term. Maybe that's RDE but my intuition is if in a year he's pushing 275lbs and has gotten even stronger Rak will be one of the most dangerous LDEs in the league.

I should point out that Daniels was a RE for the first, what, 10 years of his career. He was 32 by the time the Redskins decided to move him off the right side.

I thought Daniels was our LDE ever since we signed him in '04? I could def be wrong but his '05 campaign (8 sacks) was all at LDE right? I think for a season at least Daniels was the complete DE, both stopping the run and getting to the QB.

He signed with us in 2004 and played in 5 games that year. I can't remember if he played right or left DE. I believe we also had Renaldo Wynn and Regan Upshaw that year.
