I have had sporadic contact with Thompson over the last 30 years. Trust me on this one; if he has something he wants to say about this matter he will - - and he will not be concerned about who likes or does not like what he says. It is also quite possible that he does not have anything to add to this matter in which case he will say nothing.

Sounds like a great idea. Joe T. would be a great fit and I hope he gets back to work. He talks a lot but he's too good not to be on someones payroll.
