The Giants offense had amassed 3 points total going into the 4th quarter and if it wasn't for the extraordinary performance by the Giants defense(holding the Pats to 14pts/lowest all year)then what Eli does, doesn't really matter. McNabb also threw for 357yds and 3 TDs along with those 3 INTs(the last one being a final heave with no time left). The Eagles offense this season can be one of the best in the league, let alone the division. They are stacked.

Yup , and we must remember we're talking about the Super Bowl ...if ya need a game to step up in....that's the one to do it! Eli's whole playoff run in 07 was great ,again I'll take that over the QB rating system any day.

To say that Elis 2007 playoff run was great isnt accurate if you actually break down what he did in those games. Ill admit he played good in the Bucs wild card game. The Cowboy game he completed 12 passes and one of those 2 TDs was luck when Toomer got a easy TD down the sideline. Ill admit he played solid in the Packer game for the NFC Title. He really did nothing to win or lose that game. In the Super Bowl he did nothing that impressed me. If anything he did his hardest to lose that game for the Giants. Eli played solid in the playoffs but to say he was great or he was the reason they won the Super Bowl is reaching imo. He threw 20 INTs that year in the regular season. The only thing Eli did was not take chances and play system ball. If you want to go by 4 games in one year where he played solid but didnt carry his team on his back to win the SB and say because of those 4 games hes better than Tony Romo thats your opinion. I realize though most of the QBs in the NFL could of did what Eli did in those games. Alot of them would of played better. As for the QB Rating being useless. I agree it is overrated. The stats I look at when measuring up QBs is Win %, TD-INT Ratio, and Passing Yards. Lets look at Eli and Romo over the last 3 seasons.... Tony Romo 2006 11 Games 3,092 Yards 20-13 TD-INT 6-5 W-L .545% 2007 17 Games 4,412 Yards 36-20 TD-INT 13-4 W-L .764% 2008 13 Games 3,448 Yards 26-14 TD-INT 8-5 W-L .615% Total 41 Games 10,952 Yards 82-47 TD-INT 27-14 W-L .658% Eli Manning 2006 17 Games 3,405 Yards 26-19 TD-INT 8-9 W-L .470% 2007 20 Games 4,190 Yards 29-21 TD-INT 14-6 W-L .700% 2008 17 Games 3,407 Yards 21-11 TD-INT 12-5 W-L .705% Total 54 Games 11,002 Yards 76-51 TD-INT 34-20 W-L .629% So in 13 less games over the last 3 years Eli only has 50 more passing yards and 6 less TDs. When it comes to winning % even with the 4-0 2007 playoff run Tony Romo still has a higher winning % by .029. So if you want to take a player based on 4 games in the 2007 playoffs go ahead. Ill take the guy who in 13 less games has better numbers and a higher winning %. |

![]() All im saying is for someone to tell me Eli is better than Romo is funny. He isnt better than Romo in anything. Yes Eli is a Super Bowl winning QB but hey so is Trent Dilfer. Comparing Terry Bradshaw to Eli Manning is kinda stupid. For starters comparing a QB who played in the 1970s to a QB who plays in this era is laughable. Second, I realize Bradshaw might be overrated to a extent but hes a HOFer. Eli wont sniff the HOF unless hes brown nosing his brothers greatness. |

Re: Rank the NFC East teams position by position....
When someone calls a QB a streaky passer I have always found that to be a bad thing. Saying McNabb is a streaky passer is kinda perplexing when he has a 82-45-1 career record and has a 194-90 TD-INT ratio in the regular season. McNabb has also led his team to 5 conference championship games and one Super Bowl appearance.

And I wasn't comparing Manning to Bradshaw, I just used Bradshaw as an example that he was never really a great passer, he was just great when his team really needed him to be. But I never compared the two. |

Re: Rank the NFC East teams position by position....
agreed. i just think eli is what he is. he's streaky.....he can suck ass for 3 quarters and then get hot when the time is right and win the game.
