Westbrook and Connell in '99 were dynamite. It's amazing when you think about it: Connell basically came out of nowhere and Brad Johnson in his first year took no time to click with those guys. Along with Stephen Davis tearing it up in the backfield, that was a potent offense.

Moss in '05 was the only thing that came close. Just imagine what our offense would have looked like if there was another wideout across the field that was worth a damn.

There were some flashes at the position in '03 under Spurrier. Other than that, it's been sparse over the last 10 years.

Goes to show those numbers can be achieved without a "big-time" #2 on the other side. Steve Smith does it every year, it seems. Other offenses still find a way to be potent without great WRs. Look at the Pats before Moss and Welker got there and the Seahawks when they were good. Everything else needs to be clicking though - pass protection, running game, QB play and coaching.
