I don't really understand the logic behind "my ideal scenario is a starter (heck, any player) on my favorite team gets hurt and knocked out of the game"

Well the logic smootsmack is that I don't like dumbass Campbell, he is a deer in the headlights with reading coverages, and gets sacked too much by holding onto the ball too long, believe me I know what I'm talking about, cause vinny and dan saw the same thing I saw and that's why they wanted cutler and sanchez (I didn't want either cause I wanted to give colt a shot, but if I had to choose one it would be cutler) unless Campbell has a great second year in the offense, which I doubt but would be more than happy to be proven wrong by him winning us games, he'll be out of a job in DC very quickly

Campbell is our best option to win now.
I want to see Campbell to flourish this year and beyond, that means the Redskins prosper....
If not Nick, then we revert to Snyder ball. The team will continue to be in a constant state of flux. Over paying players who are free agents du jour, for a coach Thats more motivated by money than stability.
Hold your horses my friend.. I hope Colt IS the next coming of Montana, but don't wish the death of a season in hopes of a Savior.

Not trying to be (much of) a smartass here, but you really want to use Danny and Vinny as positive comparisons to your football IQ?

I'm just saying that one thing we have/had in common is that we know JC isn't the answer and wanted to fix that with getting a great young QB like cutler

This is the most ridiculous/stupid/unintelligent thing I have seen on this board. Are you f'ing serious? Your wish is for a Redskins player to get hurt as your ideal scenario?? If you hate a player on your team so much that you wish injury upon him, I think it is time for you to reconsider why you are a fan of this team.

i think you need to wake up and stop dreaming and start seeing reality there Ruhski, lets face it im the realistic person, your the optimistic person...Your one of those people that think "Jasons only been in the offense for one year and has changed coordinators for 9 years or whatever, He'll do great this year cause he's in year two of zorns offense" Ya let me tell you whats gonna happen, the same stuff from last year, you think drew brees going from san diegos offense to new orleans he was saying we'll im switching offenses so im gonna take a few steps back this year cause im switching offenses, you think roethlisberger said that when whisenhunt left, how bout matt ryan going from college to the atlanta, how bout flacco going from Division 2 to the starting QB of the Ravens, Eli switched coordinators midway through 06 and still made the playoffs, and one the super bowl the next year.....i could go on and on..
do you see now why i dont like campbell?!? And you say i need to consider my team, I've been with this team from Kent cook to Snyder, the thing that needs to change the most is snyder but that isn't gonna happen and yes ive wished for even worse than an injury on him, but the next thing that needs to change is the QB every team starts and ends with the QB and Jasons our hole in the dam that i dont see closing up any time soon....now as for me wishing for an injury on him, I mean sure thats bad (i wish for tom brady to get injured every year and see what thats done for me other than last year), but a few things, i only wish he gets hurt just to miss half a game, not something season ending, another thing is that this is all speculation you all are freaking out thinking that jasons actually gonna get injured or something....now why do i want him to get quickly hurt...because i want to see what Colt can do against a first team D with a first team Offense, and i don't think zorn has the balls to take jason out of a game (regular or preseason) to put colt in cause he's already disrespected campbell by wanting other QB's and he's already told him that he'll be our starter entering 09, if he were to take him out and put in colt expect jason to get pissed, and what if colt werent all that great, then our QB situation would be sooo F'ed up cause of what zorn just pulled, and then i'll finally shut up about colt seeing for myself that he wasn't that great after all..but back to colt in a game, so ya if jason where to get hurt then zorn would HAVE to put colt in or atleast that would be his perfect time to put him in instead of todd collins, assuming and hoping of course that he beats out todd, which i think he will, because he seems much more suited for the WCO than todd does...again this is just speculation..im still one of the biggest redskin fans here

I just saw this response, and well you can read the several posts I've written here refuting your arguments (actually they are more like biased opinions) with those "crazy" facts that you don't seem to care much. If you have nothing positive to say about this team's starting QB then don't bother coming here, since most people tend to make fair and somewhat educated arguments. You put yourself on some sort of pedestal about knowing football and the best you can come up with is little story lines from previous seasons and say things like "i know what's going to happen next year"?

Well, thats enough for me. With all that evidence how could someone not believe you?

As for Daniels on the practice squad, I think that is highly unlikely. A Qb on the PS is a waste of a roster spot IMO. With so few spots available you need them all for position players, not players that are untouchable in practice. One of the biggest reasons for the practice squad players is to take some reps off of the regular players to keep them fresh while still being able to run an efficient practice. There really is no place for a 4th QB on a team, hell some teams only carry 2. While the redskins are not in a position to carry just 2 of them, they cant afford the luxury of carrying 4.

Spot on. Few teams carry qb's on the practice squad for this reason. There just is no space for a 4th qb to get any reps.

Send me the steelers game or the second Dallas game or pretty much any game in the second half of the season and I'll be glad to point out all the mistakes and could have been plays that JC messes up with along with the sacks and the clueless look on his face after he gets sacked or picked...that's what I know I'm talking about decision making and reads aren't really in your stat books there now is it gibbsisgod

Why couldn't you just say something like "I hope Colt has a strong preseason and gets the opportunity to show his skills at some point in the regular season" without talking about wanting to see Campbell get hurt?

You're trying to convince us you know what you're talking about because Dan Snyder and Vinny Cerrato saw the same thing you did? Seriously? Please remember Dan Snyder is the guy who handed Steve Spurrier the reigns and he brought in Danny Wuerffel to be the QB. That "logic" is laughable.

Plus wishing injury on ANYONE is just plain ignorant. Add to that you're saying you would rather give Colt a shot over trading for Cutler? Campbell has improved every year despite a rotating door for Offensive Coordinators and an injury prone and aging offensive line. Clearly you just dislike Campbell since you're calling for a season ending injury. If Colt is so much better, he should be able to beat Campbell out in the preseason. Remember Colt is the third option...he still has to beat out Todd Collins!! LOL.

Bottom line: Campbell is our QB and he's gonna prove all the doubters wrong in 2009.

HAIL!!

True, most of the time snyder doesn't make good decisions, but I think that he was on to something with getting cutler, cause cutler isn't a wimp throwing the ball like Campbell. He may throw more picks than Campbell, but he also throws twice as many TDs as Campbell, thus scoring more points, therefore a much better chance of winning the game with a highly touted defense like ours, this is why I like colt, cause he also showed that he isn't afraid to throw the ball, like cutler....Campbell on the other hand is like " let's dump it off to the short route receiver or maybe I'll throw it deep to santana, but only if he's got his man beat by atleast four steps...". This won't change, he's a conservative quarterback, and to win in the NFL today you need to be able to just go out there and sling it...I think zorn wants to name colt the second QB during training camp, cause you can't name someone that with no cause...then I think he doesn't really need to tell Jason anymore that he's on the hot seat, but he'll definitley let him know that he isn't afraid to to give one of the backups the starting job..plus Campbell and zorn aren't idiots, they know that colts a fan favorite, and they read the message boards every once in a while and pobably this site too

As for me wishing an injury on Campbell, sure that's a bad thing to wish on someone (even tho I wish one on tom Brady every year) but A) I only wish campbell would get a hard hit or something that causes him to sit out for a quarter or so, not a season ending injury or a broken arm, foot, leg, or hand...I think an injury that's small is all it would tAke to put colt in with the first teamers, and see what he could really do, cause I don't think zorn well put him in after everything JCs been thru this offseason and telling him that he's our starting QB, plus I'll give one last chance to wow me or show me that he's improved in his second year in the offense, but as soon as he shows me nothing has changed, bring on the cult of colt!
