I agree with Mosley about the Redskins. We need to see exactly what he says. I like his comment about Romo and Williams not "wowing" anyone so far. That's a damn shame.

Nice read . As far as Landry , I think many forget that he has only played two years . He missed most of camp/preseason , and has made the move from FS to SS . This year , we should see more 2nd & 3rd and Long's . As long as Orakpo / Carter ; maybe even Jarmon can get around the edge , Landry should have a big year ,,,, and Hall and Rogers should get some Int's too.

I think Landry becomes the "elite" player Mosley is talking about this year. He's been very good the last 2 years. I think he really shines this year.

Landry has been an unbelievably excellent pass defender on balls he has gotten to. The Redskins problem last year was that Landry was often moved out of position by veteran QBs. As Landry himself becomes a vet, he's going to be perhaps the best pass defending safety in the league.

It's our time to shine and I hope the offense has a professional look to it this year.

I think we will be better than people expect this year. But I like staying under the radar. Our defense will be improved as well as our offense. I think 2 of our receivers will shine out of the group of Thomas, Davis, Kelly, Marko (if he makes the team..hopefully he does). I am optimistic. But low key on this season.

Re: NFC East training camp preview

I remember being excited about getting Trent Shelton when it first happened, but I think even if Shelton or Mitchell or Roydell is better than Thomas/Kelly they won't get a shot ahead of them. I don't think they will be better than Thomas, but I think they could be better than Kelly but still remain the #5.

Surprised Jim Zorn and Jason Campbell weren't mentioned at all. Refreshing not to have to hear about Jim Zorn's job security and Jason Campbell's offseason and being in a make or break year.

Agreed. I'm sick of hearing this myself...from everyone (fans, media, etc., etc.) I hope some good things come out of training camp and I look forward to it.

Aren't most players good pass defenders on balls they get to? No seriously, I believe his biggest weakness thus far has been not playing the ball as well as he should. Instead he always goes for the big hit.

Re: NFC East training camp preview

Didn't know where to put this and I'm sure someone has mentioned this, but I'm pretty stoked after reading this article. It's amazing to see Williams slim down to 342 lbs., this man is on a mission. I'm glad to see the linemen working out together and having that chip on their shoulder about last season.

I wonder how much weight some of those guys gained in the offseason before starting to lose it

Ruhskins...don't be hesitant about starting new threads

Actually, just noticed that this is a new article. I'll happily start a new thread about the offensive line (especially since the Mike Williams thread is becoming pretty long)

I'm sure right after the tough grind of the season some guys go a little buck wild with eating and boozing and ease way back on working out for a while. Hard to say I blame them.

But then again I guess you could say they're putting the weight back on that they lost during the course of the season. So all in all it probably balances out.

Re: NFC East training camp preview

Just an FYI-FOX Sports will be in Ashburn on August 10th, ESPN will be there on the 17th. So expect reports around then on the Skins from each of those sites
