Re: Training Camp Updates:

Nice:

-Redskins' TE Fred Davis split two defenders on a short curl pass from rookie QB Chase Daniel and turned it in to a 50-yard touchdown.

-The Redskins are currently running 7-on-7 drills and the growing crowd of fans came to life when QB Jason Campbell connected with 2nd-year WR Devin Thomas on a 50-yard post pattern.

-Defensive team drills have had a "no nonsense" approach as defensive doordinator Greg Blache's voice could be heard loud and clear after each play.

Really nice.

Man, I'm psyched.

Not to be a party pooper, but this is a no-contact practice. they're not hitting or anything so most likely, the defenders let Davis and Thomas run past them for the TD.

Just Saying.

I get that it's non contact today, but I highly doubt the defenders let them walk into the endzone. If that was the case the offense would score on every play. The defense has a job to do too.

If you have ever been to one of the practices, that is exactly what the defense does. They defend the ball while its in the air but that's about it.

great news. I know it's just camp & the first day at that, but those guys need to start showing something immediately & looks like they're doing so.

Seriously. Having Devin and Four Alarm Freddy both catch 50 yarders in the first session is a great sign.

And SmootSmack is probably doing a jig up there in Bristol upon the news that Chase Daniel threw a 50 yard TD. That man-crush is in full bloom.

The skimmy is that RAK is texting team-mates saying, "he will not be far behind." I think he'll be there soon enough.
