Bumps and bruises are to be expected and we shouldn't get carried away. I would guarantee that guys like Grimm, Bostic, Lachey etc. had bumps and bruises early in training camp that would keep them out of some practices (often as a precautionary measure) but since we weren't getting hourly updates we probably never realized it.

I think the front office could have and should have done more to address the O-Line this off-season. But let's not pretend they didn't address it. They signed two starting guards in Dockery and Bridges, they picked up Edwin Williams as a UDFA (a guy many thought could have been drafted). They drafted Rinehart last year and he seems to be developing, albeit at a slower than desired pace. Yes they're taking a gamble on Mike Williams (but the risk is pretty minimal), and they may have more faith in Heyer than others but they have taken steps to address the OL.
