Don't worry about the secondary or anyone on defense for that matter. The redskins are stacked from top to bottom on defense. I think this is just misplaced negativity.

Misplaced negativity? Smoot just isn't good anymore. Hard to debate that. I think that's what a few us here are pointing out.

I like the dude, but he can't cover his eyes. That said, I really like our secondary, even if Smoot is the nickel. Our top two corners are top notch, and I love our safety mix.

That's all I'm saying - I like our secondary, even with Smoot at the nickel. Even with his inconsistency, I like his veteran instincts and every now and then he makes a big play.

I worded that wrong. I like our secondary DESPITE the fact that Smoot is our nickel. Hopefully Rogers/Hall and our solid rotation of safeties can overcome Smoot's deficiencies.

As a nickle corner, he isn't that bad and there's a chance he'll make a play. He's inconsistent, but he is more often than not - covering well. Not tight, but solid enough that someone that he is assigned to doesn't get close to being wide open. And like I said already - there's a chance that he could even make a play on the ball in the air or make the play in run support. That's all I can ask out of a nickle corner.

But I have a feeling that this is something that you and I will continue to disagree on.

Yup. I know what I see on film, and I think he stinks. Agree to disagree I guess.
