I've often wondered if I have ADD. I notice especially when I'm reading. Who else has this problem:

You'll be reading, but then your mind inadvertenly wanders and you discover you're thinking about other things while your eyes continue to follow the words. Then you snap out of it, and have to restart the sentence or paragraph. Anybody else experience that?

Sure I've had that, but it's usually when I'm just bored or not focused on what I'm reading.

Well don't tell that to your doctor or he will pump you full of ADD meds. Then you will be walking around in a daze with slobber coming from your mouth.

Almost always, unless I'm really interested in what I'm reading. This especially happens if I'm reading off a computer screen, so I usually have to print out long work emails to be able to follow them more closely.

That used to happen to me all the damn time when I was a kid in school, even high school. Whenever I was reading something I was uninterested in, this happened.

Now as an adult I tend to read things I'm interested in - I like my job so even work-related stuff holds my attention. And now it doesn't happen so much. But still, I think it's totally normal.

ADD is much more severe, to the point where you often have trouble sitting through an entire movie, even if it's a movie most would agree is riveting.
