Just peruse JC's stats in the first 6 weeks of last season and compare them to the last 6 weeks.

Of course we cant speak of JC and the playoffs really though now can we? He's gotta get there first.
JC had troubles at the end of one year. Romo melts down EVERY YEAR.

You guys had better start something like 11-1, because between your December schedule and the certainty that Romo will melt down, you guys will fold after Thanksgiving. But at least you'll be able to watch your home losses on a big stadium screen!

One year? One Year? Really?????

What is it now 2.5 years as the starting QB of the Redskins? And Romo 3 years as a starter?

Match them up, compare them do anything you want. Did you know that in the same amount of time as a starter, for his career, Romo has 46 more TD's than Campbell..........46!! Higher career rating, more TD passes, more wins.

And if Romo ended up as a free agent most if not all on this forum would be screaming for Snyder to sign him.

And show me any other team in the NFL that tried and FAILED TWICE in the off season to replace thier starting QB. Heck, even Tavaris Jackson didn't have it that bad. And a QB does not get to that point by just having, (and I quote) "troubles at the end of one year". He gets there by having troubles every year.

Re: Problem w/ Cowboys giant screen.

I could swear that Romo seasoned on the bench for 3 years, a luxury which JC did not have. You also failed to mention turnovers. You are comparing apples to oranges.

But, at the end of the day, there's nothing left to say except, "Enjoy your choker of a quarterback. Have a great December!"

I can promise you all of us wouldn't be screaming to sign him.

Seriously, Cowboys fans, and the media with it's Cowboys love, make this guy out way better than his production (won games) shows. Is he good in Sep/Oct yes, but I will be curious now that TO is gone how he does. Any other market, and less delusional fan base would have had him out the door after the successive failures. I am pretty sure the loss to Pitt, and Philly debacle last year were all on his shoulders.

I can name several qb's I would "scream for Snyder to sign", Romo is not one of them.

I will re-evaluate, if he ever wins in the post season. (won't be this year though)

So how do you plan to evaluate Campbell?

Romo may have ZERO playoff wins, but Campbell has ZERO playoff APPEARANCES.

Lest we forget how many post season games did Peyton Manning loose before he finally got a play off win? 3 straight years, one and done. And that is more than Romo, so I guess in your definition Manning is a "choker". And he does have 7 playoff losses.

Brett Favre----10 post season losses.

Same thing happened to another QB, Elway was his name, had lots more playoff losses than Romo.

But you know what they say, "winning cures all ailments". But when Romo and the Cowboys do eventually win in the playoffs, maybe this year, maybe next year, who knows, I am sure you will find something else to complain about. Maybe the part in his hair?

Is that you, Jerrah?

This thread's about the many failures of the Cowboys and their owner. Stay on topic or stay on your blue and silver with a greenish-silver bottom-colored cloud on Cowboysfairyland.com.

Yeah, I mentioned how they can't even dress themselves in matching uniforms.

Always annoyed me...pants do not match helmet or anything else on the uniform. Royal blue numbers on jersey, darker blue on helmet...it's like they dug up these uniforms from mix and match piles at a Goodwill store.

typical.

Campbell will be judged the same way.

If he doesn't get in the playoffs and win he is most likely gone. I am pretty sure I never saw Manning f up a snap to win a game. or die in December. Favre, well he is what he is.

Romo and Campbell both have this season to step up and prove themselves. But if Campbell doesn't then he is gone. You guys have yourself a first class choker for many years to come. Good for you.

You won't find me in the "Romo is a playoff choker" crowd, but Campbell would have likely had a playoff appearance in 2007 had he not been hurt. That's debatable, I guess.

From my perspective, the Cowboys haven't been a good team in Romo's tenure anymore than the Redskins have been for Campbell. Romo's personal performance might have pushed a bad team into the playoffs in 2006, which might be the shining acheivement between their respective careers, but they both made the playoffs with quality teams in 2007, and missed with flawed teams in 2008.

While the TD numbers speak for themselves, it's not completely inconceivable to think that Campbell might be the better quarterback someday. It's just hard to judge off of 2 and a half years a careers worth of accomplishments.

Agreed, however the one thing that you can probably say looking objectively is that if Romo wasn't with the Cowboys next year, he'd probably be starting for some other team; with Campbell you can't guarantee that.

So what does this have to do with your team's owner becoming a bit of a punchline for the past couple of days?
