Let's not drink too much of that "Soups" kool-aid. We still stalled out 3 consecutive series with bad inaccurate throws. We can not keep putting our defense back on the field so soon time after time. Campbell still needs to work on his accuracy on the short throws. I'm glad Brennan redeemed himself tonight before everyone put those pollsup of Daniel over him which does not make any sense. Daniel just plays pitch and catch and Brennan is actually running the offense.

Campbell still needs to improve on a lot of things, but given how much negativity and ridiculousness I've seen from the JC haters, I'm going to be drinking the kool-aid all week long.

I didn't notice any accuracy problems on the short stuff, do you remember any specific plays?

Also, Moss should have caught that short 3rd down throw that would have moved the chains.

I'm sure some people are going to hang on to that pass where JC overthrew Moss, when he had a guy hitting him as he released.

Awfully tough to overthrow a guy like Moss. At first look I almost thought Moss wasn't going 110% on it, I'm not sure though. Yeah he was getting hit and rushed it a bit, that shit happens.

It looked to me like Moss may have slipped a bit.

It was a catchable ball. I'm not down on Tana here, as it would have been a difficult catch. But it was not a terrible throw, either, and on other occasions Tana will make that grab.

Precisely. The pass was barely behind Moss...not really a factor at all. Moss simply dropped the pass on a huge 3rd down. Nothing on JC there.

I was watching a different game, Brennan basically lost the game with the INT, then the sack for the extra long field goal attempt.

Yeah man nevermind the long return allowed by the ST that let them start in fg range and the constant flags drawn by the backup Oline that killed drives. The FG had the distance but was wide. Its ALL Colts fault. Not sayin he was stellar but to blame the loss all on him is pretty harsh. How many penalty yards were there? how many return yards were given up? Zorn seemed pleased with his play except for the int.

If I'm correct that int he threw (3rd one in three games and I believe the second in the red zone) was a 14 point swing or atleast a 10 point swing so yes Colt lost the game.

Well, that's ridiculous...Colt threw an AMAZING pass to mitchell for the td to nulify his pick-6. So no...he did NOT lose the game.
That being said, I was not impressed with Colt. He did not look good overall. He had a couple moments, but overall I'm not impressed...yes, I said it...I'm not impressed. I hope he still makes the team, I love the guy. But he is CERTAINLY leaving the door open for Chase.

On a side note, I do like what I saw out of Mason.

1) our offense scored 24 points, their offense scored 20. Their defense scored 7. I think it is justifiable to say that 7 points could be viewed as the swing in the game. Especially if you add in the fact that if the int had not been thrown, we would have most likely scored at least 3 (giving our offense 27 and theirs 20)).

2) This was the first game where Mason impressed me. He held his own against the first string, and on JC's TD run he had, what I thought was a nice chip block on a penetrating defender. Add that to DT's KR's and I might be going over to the dark side of calling for keeping Mason, and letting Rock go. Mea culpa.

I'm leaning that way myself. Mason has stepped his game up and if it came down to it I would rather have him in the offense than Cartwright. DT probably has more big play potential than Cartwright and did a good job in his first game returning KO's.

Yeah lets not bring up Green-Ellis doing whatever he wanted to our run D in the 2nd half. the numerous penalties that killed drives, the lack of pass protection by the backup Oline, the big return allowed towards the end while the ST has been horrid on coverage the whole preseason. And a 50 yd fg used to be a big deal 10 yrs ago now its the standard by which the good kickers are rated. Wide Left.
its all on perception. if we were driving in the final min and he throws the pick 6 then yes he lost it. but that was in the 3rd. If we were driving for a win and he throws a pass to get us within the 50yds as time is running out and the FG sailed wide you would want the kickers head on a stick. He threw the pick then he threw a td so its even. ST allows the returner to catch the ball on his side of the 50 and return it to the mid 20's i believe as he dragged our player for about the last 5 yds.Again, to put it on ONE man is just a lame excuse when the team as a whole didnt do very well in the 2nd.
