Re: Which NFC East team is most likely to implode

Keep in mind that it could be argued that Dallas is fresh off an 'implosion' last season. I think they will maintain & maybe win 10 games.

I could see Philly playing well below expectations, but the team that really is set up for some failure IMO is the g-men. As noted already Eli & Coughlin have taken some abuse from fans. Now the fans have big expectations, but their passing game looks weak right now. I could see their D being dominant but them only winning 8 games, with a late season collapse.

In all honesty our team is ripe for an implosion, it's a make or break year for JZ, JC, which means we could easily "implode" if things don't go well.

I would argue that last year's mini implosion for Dallas, was a precursor to the big bang. They got rid of every possible excuse, except where I think the blame really belongs. Wade, Jason Garrett, and Romo, are the reacting agents; and a scheme that lacks running the ball, combined with Romo's interceptions/fumbles(though fumbles may be better this yer) are the catalyst to a major implosion in December, even if they finish 9-7.

yeah i agree with you. guessin which team if any in the nfc east is going to implode is just a guess but i think if dallas struggles offensively the players may lose (or already have lost) faith in phillips. then players will start to pubicly take jabs at their HC like sarcastically calling him a genius, which will in turn make JJ have to step in and address the situation thru the media and of course when that happens during the season it means ish could hit the fan real quick.

i honestly didnt mean to make any parallels to CP and JZ last year (well except for that genuis part). but i do think that if cowboy players start getting frustrated or fed up with phillips, and that leads to player comments in the media, a JJ press conference during the season would be phillips pink slip.

go skins!!

Cracks in the facade; We all have exprerssed our opinions about who, and when. I offer the follwling as the beginnings of what will become a torrent of disatisfaction. Will it cause an implosion of just a withering of purpose?

All will be revealed in the fullness of time;

Right, because it's not a story when your star DE says he doesn't like that the new DC called him out. Yep, just another boring no news day. (well to be fair, it didn't involve a gun )

Dallas, not only because i hate them but they have the most to prove this season. With out a dominate number 1 receiver it will be hard.

I'm not so sure about the whole "dominant #1 WR" theory.

Even though it is preseason and the offenses are pretty "vanilla", Romo has not thrown a pass greater than 20 yards the whole preseason. His longest was for 42 yards, but that was a "dump off, checkdown" pass to Felix Jones who broke loose for 42 yards.

And Romo has had only 1 INT. All that and he still has a 70% completion and a rating of 90.

Guess we will see how all that pans out after next weekend.

Funny the NFL network just did a piece on the Giants and they were talking about Eli and his young WR's. Basically putting a lot of faith in a 2nd yr player to step up cause their Rookies are not on page with Eli. I guess they could get it together but they looked bad. Over thrown balls, and wrong routes.

Speaking of the Giants and their young receivers, I can't believe Santana's little bro is on the verge on being cut. What a missed opportunity for that 2nd round pick to step up this summer

Re: Which NFC East team is most likely to implode

I think the whole east is pretty fragile. Probably the Giants and Cowboys more than the others but all 4 have implosion possibilities present. If are first string o line dosen't stay healthy and JC don't come out smokin we could be in trouble. Hopefully our defense will keep us in it.
