I seriously thought we were going to grab him when he got released by the Raiders...especially with our QB situation.

Define "our QB situation". We've got an unquestioned 16 game starter, a 38 year old back up and a 2nd year player on the practice squad. All are healthy. What's your sense of "our QB situation" that would lead us to sign Jeff Garcia?

Having just 2 QBs on the roster.

Being that most teams carry 3 and the fact that we picked up Woodson a couple of days after we IR'ed Colt and cut Chase I personally thought they take a flyer on Garcia especially with his West Coast Offense ties and the FO's lust for big names.

BTW bringing in Woodson to steal the snap count just worked swimmingly. Good thing our coaching staff is on the ball.

Who would you want to cut to bring a 3rd qb in? (spare me the Wynn songs we need every Dline guy for rotation purposes through the season)
