Re: Portis and Cooley Calling Out an Offensive Teammate?
I took it as them talking in general, and not pointing fingers at anyone specifically.

Re: Portis and Cooley Calling Out an Offensive Teammate?
I couldn't agree more with the statement that "they could blow anyone out". They just need to start using all 7 receivers (5 WR, 2 TE) and if they do their job there's just no stopping. I would love to see that.

I assumed that Cooley was simply trying to say that the design of the offense is fine and it should work well as long as it is well-executed by all of the players. That doesn't necessarily mean that any player is constantly making mistakes. Anyone can make a mistake or miss an assignment on any play. |

Re: Portis and Cooley Calling Out an Offensive Teammate?
They have the team to blow people up. Other teams have done so with less. If no one else will say it I will, Santana Moss gives up on plays. He doesn't do his job. Bench his ass and put in Malcolm Kelly or Marko Mitchell. They're eager and hungry to prove they can do it. Let Moss get out of the dog house by running back punts and kicks.

But that seems all sorts of messy. And how long would you wanna bench Moss for? I bet if we did that to him, especially for more than a week, he'd probably want out.

Moss needs to man up. Off the field he seems like a cool cat. On the field is a different story. He makes good plays every once in awhile. I'll give him that. He's a great player. He doesn't always live up to his talent because of his mental weakness. I'd rather have a player who doesn't have his talent, a player who is reliable and doesn't hurt his team.

So twice that you can think of..... ![]() And now count the times he's pulled off a great catch and run? How did you feel after the Brunell to Moss 4th Quarter comeback in 2005 or were you a Patriots fan back then? |

Your love for Motorhead is well founded. Your love for Moss isn't.

On the pick last week how could you tell he gave up on the play as JC was 3 yards down field before he threw the ball. Do you attend alott of games?

Re: Portis and Cooley Calling Out an Offensive Teammate?
Moss is the only receiver on this team that commands double teams...you bench him then Campbell would surely face more pressure as teams can just single cover the other WRs. The Giants double teamed him all day. Does he give up on routes--possibly. The bigger issue is that other than ARE and Cooley a bit...Kelly and Thomas could not get open on the Giants #3/#4/#5 corners (Ross and Dockery were hurt). So until these other receivers can beat single coverage let's not even get silly and talk about benching our only starting caliber receiver...
