he is listed at 6-2 211 seems like an odd size for a nfl running back, is he like a hybrid speed/power guy?

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft

I expect guys like Suh and Eric Berry to be long gone by the time we pick. Even though they may become good pro's, I hope we don't trade up for Clausen or Bradford. I think the smartest thing we could do if we don't trade down for more picks, would be to take Okung with our first and someone like Trent Williams with our second if they're available when we pick. Take a RB and maybe a QB in the 4th and 5th. If we could put together a package to get another second, I would take Gerhart and then go LB, (Micah Johnson available in the 4th?) instead of RB in the 4th or 5th, but that would probably have to involve trading a player plus pick, or something from next years picks.

Did you think Orakpo would be available to us last year? I said IF he's available. If not, the highest ranked o-lineman that is valued that high. We'll see.

Yes

Actually Williams might slip, but I'd be surprised if he drops past the end of the first round

I thought if we didn't trade up for Sanchez that we would choose between Oher and Orakpo. I usually have a pretty good idea of where players will fall in the 1st round especially if the Skins are involved. Now what the Skins do in the later rounds im as lost as everyone else.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft

Looking at the first round lineman, I'd say that we'd either draft Russel Okong up high or trade down and pick up Charles Brown the OT from USC. I think Shannahans biggest requirement for lineman is that they're athletic and agile. The 3 in between Okong and Brown seem more like maulers. The trade down for Charles Brown would probably be best because they could either

A. use the pick to draft another lineman or

B. trade up in the second round to select Colt McCoy if Shannahan and Allen desire to do so.

Looks like we're sitting at the 6th pick currently. Of course that could change. Like was mentioned before, we're at least a couple years away from being competitive again.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft

anthony davis from rutgers declared himself for the draft he is a 6'6" 320lb-er, if we trade down he could be a good late first round pick up or early second rounder

The more that come out, the better. More chances for us.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft

1st Russell Okung, T OKST
2nd Maurkice Pouncey, Center, FLA
...or, trade back and get

mid 1st Anthony Davis, T RUT
late 1st Cody, Spikes, or Iupati.
2nd Pouncey, C

Basically, the biggest, baddest dudes available.

You should change that to the smallest, baddest dudes available. If Shannahan comes here then small, athletic, O-Lineman are going to be on the menu. Particularly guys under 300 pounds. So if you were going to draft early then Okong would likely be your pick, or if you trade back then you would probably get a guy like Charles Brown from USC. Bruce Campbell also seems like he could fit the mold though if we do go that route I would hope we'd get a caliber of talent on par with Jared Gaither rather then Stephon Heyer.
