Suh is going to require double-teams. Haynesworth already requires that. By next year, its possible Orakpo will, too. Its a very scary proposition, indeed. If he's available, we simply can't pass on him.

thank god your not the G.M. or wait a minute, are you Vinny incognito? because that is something that dumb-ass would do. what do you propose we do about our biggest liability, the o-line?

same thing happened this year, do you honestly think they had orakpo as their pick? he was top ten talent and thanks to the radiers and the bills he fell in our lap

They had been eyeing Orakpo for a while, they didn't just stumble upon him on draft day

I've been saying that we need to draft an o-lineman with our first pick no matter what. Someone like Okung preferrably. There are good defensive players available in the draft every year..but...my gosh does Suh look good. The more I read about him, and after seeing him in the Texas game, the same scenario as BHA describes has been playing in my head over and over and over..... Fortunately there is plenty of time to think this thing out and there should be some options with trades and such. There is a lot of time between now and the draft and a lot could happen. Restraint requires discipline, it should be interesting. My dream would be that we somehow acquire another #1 and get them both. Defininitely a dream.

I've been pimping Suh for a couple months now, not going to stop. The kid is sick. Him and AH = No pocket.

I realize we need a lot of OL help, but Id rather get a steal with Suh than a reach for the best T.

i dont see him dropping to our pick right now we would have the 5th overall pick by my guess.

1. Bucs
2. Browns
3. Rams
4. Lions
5. Skins

im with you, im a VT grad so I saw him dominate the line there and ever since. that combo imo is too good to pass up. i also believe we might be reaching to take okung in the top 5 if thats where we went.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft

Was @ Oak is a big “draft order” game this weekend. This could all be moot if we win a couple of our final games, which is realistic. The key games are not all this weekend, but from now til the end of the year.

1 W: Cleve, TB, ST Louis
2 W’s: Detroit (Chic @ Det, if Det wins and we lose out, then we move up)
3 W’s: KC, Was
4 W’s: Buff, Oak,

Key Games:
Buf @ KC , Cle @ KC
Was @ Oak
Chi @ Det

Not rooting for a loss this week, but if we do lose, we’ll get draft tiebreakers over Oak, KC due to head to head. All this will sort itself out soon enough. I’m guessing we end up about 7th or 8th.

I’m planning on a Cowboys win at home. Bank on it.

Draft tiebreakers are done according to strength of schedule, not head-to-head.

Gotcha, I guess we wouldn't win the tiebreakers then.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft

I hope it plays out like this
Round 1 Russell Okung
Round 1 (trade next years 1 and 5th) Colt McCoy
Round 2 Ryan Mathews

If this happened I would be estatic

i would be very unhappy if we traded a future 1st to get mccoy.

we are going to get a QB in this years draft. In this scenario we would get the best Tackle available and a decent QB, why don't you like this?

id be unhappy for several reasons. first, i dont like mccoy, i do not think he will be a good pro. second, if we did get him, i sure wouldnt want to trade away a future 1st rounder to get him, as I dont think hes even worthy of a 1st round pick. third, if we do go QB, id much rather have clausen who would be my first choice, bradford, locker, tebow...again thats just my opinion.
