I could be wrong, but I think today our CBs were not playing well and were giving the Rams WRs a lot of room.

That's true, the DB's didn't play all that well today. But I didn't see guys blowing coverages. STL scored 7 points so in two weeks the defense has given up 23?

Fair enough.

Couldn't you say exactly the same thing about our offense, that we never take obscenely negative plays on offense, we just sometimes end up in third and long thanks to uninspired first and second down play?

Well yes there aren't a lot of neagative plays cause the offense is conservative. But that doesn't mean we're not poorly coached on offense.

Well I agree with that, but doesn't that make the defense just as conservative? I know we blitz a lot, but if you just play the same boring coverage scheme, how aggressive are you really being?

If the argument is that the Skins D is well coached because they don't blow many assignments, and the offense also hardly blows any assignments, I'd say that, in this example at least, the units are equally disciplined.
