I dont want Cowher, although he does bring alot of emotion to the game. I dont think he would accept the team playing like this, and wouldnt hesitate in calling out the problem.

Id rather see someone with a more offensive mindset. The NFL is now a passing league, and having someone more innovative with the playcalling would help tremendously IMO. Is there any young offensive coaches out there equivalent to Spag's and/or LeBeau's defensive playcalling?

Anyways....if we lose the Detroit game, its gonna be very ugly.

Do opponents even gameplan us running to the right? A nice bootleg every once in while would help the run a lot too.

Not in the Red Zone! I sincerely doubt that you could have imagined a WR screen to the short side of the field inside the 10 yard line against the Giants or a HB pass on 3rd and goal at the 5 yard line against the Rams. I know I couldn't.

Thats the 5% because they are idiotic playcalls, that arent gonna work...EVER. Do you see any other NFL team running this crap, the answer is NO!

Nope...agreed thats a good thing. I just dont see Cowher being a huge help to our offense, which is the real problem. Id like to see Jerry Gray given a shot at defensive coordinator.

Cowher knows that Defense and running the football--winning in the trenches-- wins championships. Look at the teams in the past decade that set new scoring records, not many hoisted the Lombardi the same yr they did so. Viks,Rams, pats

Excellent point, I just see the NFL turning into a passing league IMO. Not Pats bro, Id give anything to have their success lately, lol.

Well, to say that the Rams and Pats didn't hoist the Lombardi trophy in the years where their offenses broke records is a little misleading, seeing as how both teams won Super Bowls with basically the same squads, and they each at least made it to the Super Bowls in the years in which their offenses were particularly stellar.
