We needed to score a touchdown in the last minute and a half of the game just to be down by one touchdown. ...still doesn't sound close to me.

You know that game was decided by the outcome of an onside kick right? If you're suggesting that they let us in the end zone by design, you're accusing the entire Giants coaching staff of incompetence.

They let us down the field didn't they? They weren't doing that the previous 3 and half quarters.

Plus, prevent defense is designed to take away those last two long completions on the drive. Fact is, we just beat the coverage and scored. Sure we could have dinked and dunked down the field, and they would have let us run the clock down, but that's not what happened. An onside kick is a 10% proposition, but if we get lucky, they have to stop us from getting 40 yards in a minute thirty, or we beat them. I'm just not seeing the domination. They lead the whole way, and it wasn't exactly a back and forth game, but that's hardly domination.

Whew...Tynes scored a FG with 3 minutes 12 seconds in the fourth quarter. We receive the ball and score a TD with 1 minute 30 seconds left in the game. With the kickoff we scored in 1 minute and 42 seconds... What Redskin offense is capable of scoring in 1min42sec??? So far it's taken us 5-fold that just to get into the redzone and kick a FG. If you don't see that as a gimmie score by the Giants prevent defense then there are other things you're not seeing.

There's no such thing as a gimme score in football. Teams will happily trade yards for clock minutes, but if you think that the Giants thought it ideal to let the Redskins into the end zone with 1:30 on the clock, you're narrative is already dead in the water. This is similar to the argument I jumped on GMScud for yesterday, and while I'm not doubting that you've thought through your critiques, the game doesn't end when you declare it's over. You can't even say the Giants weren't blitzing to try to slow down the Redskins. Trust me, they weren't looking to get into an onside-kick-decides-the-game siutation. For most of the game, the Redskins passing offense > Giants passing defense. That drive was simply an extension of that principle.
