Wow our defense laid down early in the game.
Right. Zorn obviously thought we could get one yard but if we couldn't, there was no way the Lions would go 99 yards on us. They would punt and we'd get the ball back. I don't think that's unreasonable, but apparently anything is possible with this defense.

Its just another idiotic move by Mr. Pathetic aka Jim Zorn. He clearly let all the criticism from the last couple weeks get to him. You should just take the points and move on. He tried to make up for last weeks failures by punching it in, and it didnt happen. Real Head coaches dont let the media/fans influence the way they call a game. Mr. Pathetic needs to take his playbook and head back to Washington....state that is!

Blache should be shown the door as well, his schemes are absurd. There is alot more talent on this team than what they are showing. Our defense looks like crap, there isnt anymore pass rush this year even with Albert. Defensive backfield continuing to play 10 yards off the receivers, WTF? Our O-line is continually getting beat, S. Heyer should never be a starter in this league. And just like usual everyone just blames everything on JC. He is gonna end up somewhere else, and become a good QB.

Its a sad day for our beloved Skins....we are the laughing stock of the NFL.

All that Blache does is makes excuses as to why the offense looked so good. They are a good team according to him and they have only lost 2 games with the "new" team. I really am really starting to hate him and miss Greg Williams big time

Still go back to opening drive could not punch it in, came away with no points. Lions go 99 yards for a TD. Moss face mask penalty they over turned. Horton pass interference call do to know pass rush. These plays hurt us big time.

That first drive set the tone for the game IMHO. At that point the Lions believed they could win and we started doubting ourselves.

Dude if he was crying that's because he sees us pissing away our season thus far. Can anyone say that for many years we have neglected our O-Line and it really shows. The defense has soft corner other than Smoot who throws his body all over the field.

Our neglect of the O Line is definitely showing. If Cerrato and Snyder cannot see that then they are dumber than I thought.

To add insult to injury the Packers scored 36 points on the Rams today.

Hmm well the Ravens beat the crap out of the Browns. I wonder what their secret is. Oh I know they drafted a bunch of Receivers.

Yep, and I believe Aaron Rodgers has been sacked more than any other QB in the league. But wait, how is that possible? A QB can't possible overcome a scary widdle pass rush, can he? I mean Brees was getting harassed all day today and he still put up 27 points (probably a season low for them). And didn't Big Ben win the Super Bowl last year as the most sacked QB in the league and Cassell was right behind him with his 11-5 record.

As for the Ravens, I'm sure their Defense scored at least half of their TDs, if not all of them. They have an average QB that isn't asked to do anything but throw TDs and win games. Unlike our QB who has to kick field goals, rush opposing QBs, mix the Gatorade and distribute towels in the locker room. The Ravens would be putting up 60 a game with Campbell as their QB.

Good article by Larry Weisman, at least he isn't the other Larry "aka" BALL SHINER. This guy shoots straight.

Re: Redskins vs. Lions Gameday Thread

Just got back from the game. OMG we are truly in deep trouble. We have no depth whatsoever I guess with regards to the O line. The O line itself sucked rocks. Why did Zorn have CP run about 5-10 yards east/west when he only had to go north/south 3 feet? Portis had only 3 decent runs the entire game. Why did JC lose 3-4 snaps, is his head in the game? Not too sold on our newbie WRs either as it was the Santana Moss show. Zorn better seriously consider putting Mitchell in to "spice" things up. WE are far from being a contender and the sad thing is we supposedly have way more talent than Norv had to work with over 10 years ago. Shit Norv for all his faults could have called a better game than Zorn. This franchise is screwed for the near term future.
