First sentence OK, second sentence dead on, third sentence is not accurate. He's NOT a bright spot. If he stepped up and won us a game, then yes, I'd say he was, but he disappeared when we needed him most. Don't know why Campbell's lease is sooooo long when others have had no leash at all.

Didn't Brandon Lloyd last two years on this team? Now there's a guy who actually never accomplished anything.

We didn't rely on Lloyd though...he was a non factor while Campbell touches the ball on every offensive play. That's a really weak arguement.

Funny how you'll go to the numbers until they don't support your argument. Then they are worthless.

Matty's using fact-based assertions and you aren't. You can't tell him he's wrong.

How are my comments not fact based? Am I mistaken at the fact that he disappears when we need him most? That he is no where to be found in the redzone? That he leads the league with 5 fumbles? Those are all facts sir. Saying that Campbell is a bright spot is NOT fact based. It's opinion based.

ps- when numbers actually prove a point, then they are good and worthy, when they are used to skew reality, they are not worthy. We both know numbers show things, but they don't show everything. Again...see Mark Brunell.

Yes, you are mistaken. And not in spite of your refusal to go to the passing numbers.

The fumbles are a major issue. A MAJOR issue. And I'll credit you for going to that (a statistic) to defend your case. But without Campbell's passing efficiency, this team would have NO wins, and a good half of football from the defense against St. Louis away from being the worst team in football.

Campbell is more or less the difference between us and the Browns right now. And remember that I'm a pretty big Quinn fan.

I think we are about to get to the point where we are going to agree to disagree...but saying I am mistaken makes me scratch my head, so please inform me how exactly Campbell has been proficient in the redzone? What have I missed?

There are certain stats that don't lie like fumbles...you can blame no one but yourself with fumbles. Of course you could try to blame the line, but bottom line is when you fumble, it's on you, you need to protect the ball!

So let me get this straight, you are saying the reason we beat the Rams is cause Campbell had a good completion percentage?

We beat the Rams because the defense stayed competitive the entire second half (allowing no points, which should be expected against the Rams), and Jason's efficiency (despite poor OL play post-Thomas) served to set up Suisham three times.

Campbell's proficiency in the red zone is mostly based around his play between the 10 and the 20. Inside the ten, he's really not even been given a "read" play all year. There was one against the Giants, and we just completely didn't block the blitz.

Campbell has gotten Zorn to a second season, so he might as well dance with him, IMO.

I think changes need to be made if the offense keeps up the lack of scoring. If that means putting in Collins then so be it. He gets the ball out quicker so maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea.

People that think Collins would do a better job than Campbell right now are smoking something. For starters, Collins' mobility resembles that of an 80 year old woman, and our O-line leaks like an old faucet. Against a half decent pass rush, Collins may leave the field in an ambulance.

They still remember when Collins won a few games that got us to the playoffs and we lost to the Seahawks. If Collins has to play we are up a creek without a paddle. He has no arm strength to throw the ball deep , I guess thats ok since we dont go deep much. I do no this he is fragile as a bull in a china shop. A career backup vs JC please you people must be on a real Hatters trip on JC.

Thats an idiotic idea, is this really Jim Zorn? One of the only guys on the team, and a captain at that, having a decent season, and you wanna scrap him for a guy that will retire at seasons end. Thats not exactly the way to "rebuild" now is it? Campbell is doing a good job for the cards he has been dealt. Lets get a real offensive coordinator and see what Campbell can do with some real playcalls.
