Re: What If...We Win?

We still have to play Dallas twice, the Eagles Twice and the G-men at home. If we beat Dallas both times, take one from philly and beat the Giants at home this season would be far from over. I always said it's not how you start the year its how you finish. If we finish strong and beat some tough teams zorn might be safe

Re: What If...We Win?

I think we need to see a major turnaround on both sides of the ball for both Zorn and Blache to have a chance to stay. If I had my way, Blache would be gone right now. It's remarkable how little his scheme is producing despite the horses he has. Zorn has been hamstrung by Vinny's inability to build an Oline worth a shit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly happy with the Z man, but if he has a solid o-line, our offensive problems wouldn't be as bad as they are now.

I'd say at a bare minimum Zorn needs a trip to the playoffs to stick around, but Blache and Vinny need to have some serious accountability on this one as well. I'd like to dump Blache for Jerry Gray right meow.

I guess we could get lucky. I would have said beating the Eagles twice and Dallas once and taking the Giants game. Dallas does not look as bad as I thought they would and although the Eagles have not either they lost their starting QB for a few weeks. Then again the team seems to play better with out McNoodle.

If we make it into a Wildcard spot and then lose.. Does Zorn still get fired?

Thats a good question....I leaning toward no, but if we look good at the end of the season and make a push into the playoffs as a Wildcard then most likely yes.

Why would you fire the coach you ( Synder) hired and he turned the team around after losing to the Lions. If we make the playoffs that would mean we must be playing much better offense and defense. The only team I know who fired their coach for making the playoffs is the Chargers ( Marty Shottenheimer). We are a far cry from making the playoffs as of right now. I guess we can still dream.

Re: What If...We Win?

He's got to turn the offense around. Even if we win 9 games but are only averaging 16 or so PPG I think Snyder demands a new playcaller and offensive coordinator which Zorn may resist and result in him getting fired.

Sorry my drinking days are behind me. Though I guess this is the type of safe bet my Dad use to always make. Like when he would stand under the basketball hoop while I would put up shots.

Question Re: What If...We Win?

9-7 and he stays .. BUT, that's a long ass way to go .. we just lost to the Lions, are 3-8 in the last 11 and have NEVER scored over 30 pts since the Z Man .. i mean i'm a big Z and JC supporter but it's really hard to back the Z Man with the calls this year and last .. JC is making plays .. somewhat .. Z Man has to get the O rockin' or it's another laughing stock season .. god it's tough when you have such high hopes ..

Re: What If...We Win?

it's more than Zorn first of all ...

blache has ALOT to do with the games we've already lost. point blank.

i've been saying all along if things change u know, maybe we dont have to fire the staff...

simple enough, if the subtle things change, we WILL start winning...

if they dont .... happy trails... evreybody but Bugel should go.

The Rams scored 7, the Lions scored 19 and the Giants scored 23 (with a fumble 6 by their D). We only let 1 team score 30 last year, and it was the last game of the year. Yes, the D looked bad against the Lions, but they NEVER get to play with a lead and always have to pick up the slack for our putrid Offense who hasn't scored 30 points in 19 games now.

Brees threw 6 TDs against the Lions in game 1. It will take Campbell 6 games to match that. The O is still the biggest liability on this team.

You make good points as far as PPG and the defense, but that doesn't excuse their inability to get off the field on 3rd downs, and our sack/INT total is pacing to look just as terrible as last year's unit. I think that's got to fall at Blache's feet.

IMO he should have been fired as soon as he said sacks are "overrated." Convenient spin by a coordinator who can't buy a sack. The best defenses in the league are the ones that relentlessly pressure the QB, Greg.
