Wait no isn't it more like he's the dad that's WAY TOO INVOLVED in their kids lives. So it's more like he's not letting his daughters date anyone he hasn't approved of. Meanwhile the approved suitors are complete duds, or are great but because of the stigma that he was chosen by Daddy, nothing ever really materializes, and before you know it Daddy's showing him the door . . .
