Re: Washington Capitals 2009-2010 ongoing thread
Did anybody else notice how sloppy the Caps were playing in overtime? Maybe it's just me but it looked like the Flyers had more hustle, they were more active in engaging the Caps when we had the puck, and they were getting a lot more shots on goal too. I wasn't suprised when Briere got the game winner in because they were hustling and playing like they wanted it. We looked like we were just going through the paces.

Still a little nervous about our Goalie situation as I'm sure the whole fan base that follows it is. Damn ESPN putting us atop the Power Rankings, way to jinx us espen. Semin is awesome though, I really hope we can lock him up to a long term contract.

I'm also concerned about the goalie situation. Our D isn't helping us much either. Frankly I'm a bit tired of hearing what a great defenseman Mike Green is. He's great at scoring when compared to other defenders, but he's been asleep since late last season.

Re: Washington Capitals 2009-2010 ongoing thread
allllrighty....
Rangers at Capitals - 10/08/2009 - NHL.com - Game Previews Another big test, but this time on our ice. I'm going to Chinatown for some pre-game drinks, and then I'll be one of the 18,277 strong in attendance @ the phone booth. Rock the Red. Last Caps game I went to was game 1 of the playoffs vs. the Rangers, and a giant brawl ensued after the game. Lets hope Rangers fans can be a little more civil this time, because the poor souls that started the brawl were taken over by the red army. Hard to get pumped up for the 4th game of the season, but the way ovi and co are playing its hard not to enjoy it.

I'm aware and maybe it's just a case of sloppy play but they'd better show up and play when the Flyers come to our house.

Right now, not a bad 2-0 start. Green's goal was pretty. I really really really want to kill this trend of giving up in the second half of the game. Just got my tickets to the game this Thursday. Rock the Red bitches.
