Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Maybe Jeff Fisher will be available!
(If Tennessee makes a bad decision to fire him)

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Honestly, I think Snyder would do good finding the real Jim Zorn. You know, someone beneath the radar, fairly young, but seasoned enough to actually make the next jump to head coach. Obvi Josh McDaniels would have been an ideal choice.
I'm not so caught up on the names out there because you know what, we've had all the big names come here. And the results have been pretty bad. |

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
I think you can forget DS going under the radar. This is a A-1 first class burn job by JZ and there is no way DS takes a chance on another unproven coach. Period.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
IF DS and VC were to tell Gruden they would draft the QB he wanted then im sure he would think about it. Maybe bring in Garcia who knows the WCO to get us by until the rook was ready.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
I don't think Garcia and Gruden are to crazy about each other.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
If they had kept Marty back in the day, this would have been a natural option by now

See this why I want Marty for GM. I "assume" his son has learned the same system he runs and perhaps his son can take a team farther then he ever has but he(Marty) would know the type of players needed for the system which is why I'm interested in this combo. Plus either Marty was good at evaluating talent or he surounded himself with people who could so either way our team would have talented players. Hopefully starting with the O-line. |

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Looking back, most of Marty's teams were solid in the trenches.

After yesterday's game I'll take anybody, just get a warm body out there to coach.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
I heard that Snyder wants Joe Gibbs to come back as president. Gibbs would then select his own GM. Personally I don’t think it’s a good idea myself. It depends on who would decide we would pick in the draft and sign as free agents. The offensive line needs to get well fast in order to have a chance of winning in the near term.
