Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

I could only hope Snyder starts calling plays. HAH, how ridiculous would that be?

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

"We keep fighting, because we are Redskins". I still like him as coach, but I don't see any future with him. He's a humble guy, and I really think he's sincere when taking the blame. I hope that a new play caller will help, but I don't see us putting up 20+ points a game just off that move. We've got the same damn people in the offense that we had to start last season as far as key players go, we are better than this. HTTR, HTTR, and F@ck Dallas.

DS hires J. Zorn to be the teams OC , right ? Then hires JZ as the head coach , now does not want his choice for OC to call plays ? Dan , hire a REAL GM .

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

I love how Zorn is playing this. Instead of resigning he is forcing Snyder to make the move. Best play call since you have been here, Zorn!

Did anyone notice that the 3 stooges are back on network television? Danny, Vinny and Jimmy can be seen every Sunday at 1:00!

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

After the season is over.

Step One: Fire Vinny and Zorn
Step Two: Hire GM, see Chris Polian, Eric DeCosta, Rick Spielman, Mike Holmgren....
Step Three: Let new GM hire Head Coach. Preferably Offensive minded and someone with outstanding motivational skills, and who is not afraid of getting after poor performers or prima donnas.
Step Four: GM and Head Coach shall hire Offensive Co-ordinator, that will call plays. Now is the time to decide if the WCO is what should be ran or if more of a Coryell style is what is needed.
Step Five: Remove Cancer from the roster.
Step Six: Rebuild Offensive line with the best free agents under 27 years old and prepare to draft rookie QB for grooming.
Step Seven: Draft for need and be willing to trade down to grab players at their best value.
Step Eight: The most important step, Dan Snyder just sign the checks.

On a side note can we take away the HCing duties also since he has so much on his plate?

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

Anybody read the article on phat Al's actions after the game? I wonder who he called out?

I'm sure it will be discussed at length over the next 6 days but there are some positives around the bend.

1) A change, any change, when things are totally in the toilet is probably good.
2) Nobody has a scouting report on Sherm Lewis so he should bring a bit of a surprise element to the offense if it will ever have one this season.
3) Albert has spoken! I think the whole team will respond cuz this guy has obviously done his job here, clogging the middle so the rest can get to the QB, and now he's calling others out. Who is going to get up in his face? I think the oline probably got a tongue lashing so expect them to come out swingin next week.

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

Well Sherman Lewis was playing BINGO with the seniors and has been out of the NFL since 2004 , but he could not do any worse than Zorn has. WTF do we have to lose the season is all but done. Its time to play for PRIDE.

He's called plays more recently than Zorn.
