Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

IMO, I hope Bugel takes over playcalling. He knows more about how to hide the deficiencies of the OL.
He began as the Redskins offensive coordinator in 1981 and was promoted to assistant head coach in 1983. Under Bugel’s direction the Redskins scored a then-NFL record 541 points (1983), had four 1,000-yard rushers, one 4,000-yard passer and nine 1,000-yard receivers. Washington won two Super Bowls while Bugel was with the team, following the 1982 and 1987 seasons. Overall, he has participated in three Super Bowls, six conference championships and 24 playoff contests.

Don Breaux was the OC if I remember correctly.

Nothing against Bugel but this was over 20 years ago. Granted the line getting injured every year is not on him, and the lack of depth is not on him, but we do not have a great line. After this year it may be time to move on.

If I was Jim Zorn, I'd tell Vinny and Dan to suck my balls. He's as good as done anyway. If he doesn't see that he's a fool.

I love that they have to continue to pay Zorn. Snyder is such an ass clown when it comes to any football related decision.

He is the biggest embarassment in the league. I love it!!

Great job midget!!! ha ah ah

Zorn isn't a man anymore. He's a eunuch.

I am surprised that Zorn let it go this far. I hope that, at the next step in this process, Zorn regrows his balls and tells Danny to kiss his behind.

Don't tease me. I almost thought this would be a Rick Roll. I would love for this to be accurate.

Oh man i feel like this is a wet dream lol. If this turned out to be true I'd be so happy. Could you imagine, an actual GM type doing his thing here in DC? A truly structured front office, a GM who finds the coach best suited for a long run, who could build a competent offensive line and then surround it with good skill position players such as an elite quarterback with good wide receivers, not through free agency by giving out huge contracts to guys who don't have many good seasons left, but through good drafting and then filling in a need here or there through free agency? That would be amazing.

This has been the rumor since the day Zorn was named head coach. We need to see it to believe it

I feel bad for the guy, really.. Even though he's not great at play callings, obviously but he's good humble guy.. I truly hope he will grow from this..

Here's real one: Zorn gives up offensive play-calling duties for struggling 'Skins
