Re: You're Dan Snyder, what's your move?
Parcells turned Al Snyderato down years ago.

Re: You're Dan Snyder, what's your move?
Sure, it would be great if Snyder hired Bill Polian, or Polian's son, or any of about 10 solid, competent people, and gave them complete authority to remake the team, free of interference from ownership.
But after 10 years, does anyone think that Snyder's capable of staying out of the way? He won't. He won't. Get used to it -- until he's gone, the Redskins will not experience sustained success. |

Re: You're Dan Snyder, what's your move?
I guess hiring Eric DeCosta as our GM would be a good move. DeCosta started his NFL career as an intern with the Redskins in 1995 (pre-Snyder) so why not bring him to were he started.

Re: You're Dan Snyder, what's your move?
I emailed Michael Lombardi would he consider the position and this was his response to me:
"I am not sure I would tell the owner what he wanted to hear...thanks for thinking of me" Funny, not sure if hiring a top quality GM in DC will be as easy as we think. The owner may be just too frustrating to work with.

If I'm Al Snyderato, the first thing I'd do would be to stop sucking my thumb and clean out my drawers.

If I'm Dan I'm showering with the cheerleaders on game day.
Hey, it's my team! |

Buy and setup a Cisco telepresence system and install it at Joe Gibbs house so he can be the team President and can conduct business from Charlotte.

Re: You're Dan Snyder, what's your move?
i think he has to be somewhat humble at this point. He's tried and failed to build a winner- he will realize that he has to fire Vinny and hire a legit GM with reasonable autonomy. I hope anyway.

Re: You're Dan Snyder, what's your move?
Clearly Danny needs a new GM, but how is he supposed to find one that will work? How do you evaluate a person's proficiency at evaluating? In my mind a GM is not a role that is easy to evaluate before the person has the job. How is Dan Snyder supposed to know how good of a talent and scheme evaluator any given prospect of a GM is. Basically I'm asking how do we know who will be the best guy for the job?
