...not knowing much about Snyder prior to his ownership, do you have any intuition how a "media" guy can be so clueless about shaping an image? I mean whatever reputation he had is sinking like lead...and the stunts w/ Zorn over the last couple weeks only worsen the image, right? How does the dude not see what everyone else in football sees?

Re: Steve Largent rips Snyder's handling of the team
After reading this, a part of me almost wants to see Philly embarrass us Monday night. Zorn is gone, even if he by some miracle gets us to 8-8. We need a historically bad season to get Snyder to see that his blueprint for building a winner is an utter failure. I believe that only a 3 or 4 win season will force Snyder to fire Cerrato and consider giving control to a top flight GM.

Re: Steve Largent rips Snyder's handling of the team
I love that Largent told more of the story. Knowing Cerrato and Snyder pulled out the contract language on Zorn is simply ridiculous. No respect for them and their dealings. As 12thMan states things will never change as long as we have Cerrato in DC. He must go.

Re: Steve Largent rips Snyder's handling of the team
I really doubt Cowher would come here. Pat Kirwan on NFL radio yesterday said he thinks Cowher is going to be really picky and will be looking for a Pittsburgh-like situation to fall into. Meaning, wacked out unstable teams like the Skins and Cowboys are out of the picture.

Hmmm, also this coming from a former player who although had decent personal stats, played on a team that sucked for the most part until Holmgren came along.

Re: Steve Largent rips Snyder's handling of the team
"[Zorn] inherited everything that he has to work with today and yet all the blame is being laid on his feet because he can't make them a Super Bowl champion, which I could have told you two years ago, they don't have a Super Bowl-quality team," Largent told KJR radio. "And so it doesn't matter how good a coach you have, you are not going to get there with the players the owner gives you.
No one has asked Zorn to win the SB this year we just want him to win a game against teams with a 0 win record. IF he could have done that we would be sitting at 5/1 and he would not be in this situation. Yes I know his players play the game but come on we have enough talent to have that record. |
