Why not shoot for an assistant with one of the best organizations out there. Don't the Pats have an assistant GM or Asst Pres of football Ops? They've been building depth for years. And I'm not sure about the rules but I don't think they can stop you from interviewing someone for a promotion.
...But then again, an assistant at the pats to top dog at the Redskins might just be a DEmotion.
