Is there a CHANCE that could happen with this team????

P.S. I miss Marty!!!!
No, there is no chance. C'mon. This is an entirely different scenario. In 2001, we employed brand-new offensive and defensive schemes, struggled mightily in the implementation of both through the first four games, and then began to settle in (the 5th game was lost to the Cowboys courtesy of that late Stephen Davis fumble). By week 6, the team was up to speed with the new regime and played competitively through the remainder of the year.

The only adjustments this team has to make are to the losses of three absolutely key opening day offensive starters. Aside from those adjustments, which the team is showing itself incapable of accomplishing, there is little justification for believing in a post-bye "eureka" moment in this offensive system, which has failed to produce a 20 point game in . . . how long has it been?

2009 will not go the way of 2001. Sorry.
