Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
Clausen if he's there without having to trading up. If not, take Okung and then another OL (Black from LSU?) in the second. QB will have to come through FA / trade until 2011.

I watched the DVR of the first half of the Eagles last night. First impressions of the first half are that the talent of the OL isn't as much of a problem as the communication and blitz pick-ups. The RBs are at fault too for not picking up free A-gap blitzing LBs. I really think this line shuffling has a lot to do with the problems up front.

Clausen, even though he kind of reminds me of that dude in Remember the Titans (http://images.allmoviephoto.com/2000...titans_002.jpg) strikes me as a franchise guy.

He also might have height issues, at roughly six feet out there. Though, truth of the matter is, if he hasn't run into issues in college with his height, he'll probably do just fine in the pros. The backs have been terrible at pass pro going back to last year. Portis makes it seem a lot better than it really is because the only time you ever really notice the backs is when Portis is sticking someone at the line, but our poor protection has never just been about the front five. This front five, though, is particularly poor. And it's not for lack of talent. Well, maybe in Will Montgomery's case. But my general opinion is that it's a communication issue in the interior line (which includes the back pickups), and a talent issue on the outside with one on ones with our tackles and their ends. Not that our tackles are notably terrible players (they are below average), but their ends are just on a different level of accomplishment.

What is baffling to me is that it doesn't look like the Skins have a blitz pick-up session at all during the week. At the last HS I was at we had 15-20 min, at least twice per week, during game weeks of blitz pick-ups with the OL and RBs. We would look at film of the upcoming team and run their blitzes to make sure we picked them up. It sure doesn't look like the Skins are doing this, or if they are someone ain't paying attention.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
Thank you so much dude!! JC has sucked for the most part of his career and I doubt he will ever start in this league again unless it's Cleveland or something. We just need a new beginning and it's time for JC to go.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
I agree and disagree at the same time. JC is not starter caliber, but we will need him in an emergency role. Collins will probably retire after this season or will be shown the door. You do need a vet to back you up if the rook or newbie struggles.
