First of all, it's $6.5 million. I don't care who you are, that's a shitload of money. And in reference to his huge contract, everyone in this forum knows he will never see 2/3 of that $68 million (unless he restructures in a few years.) It would be unrealistic for the Skins to cope with such a huge cap number from him, especially when the defense can make it to #3 without him.

I agree with that, but he signed the contract without the 6.5 million. His agent read it, he read it, the NFLPA read it. All three approved and put their signature on it. Why did he want a new contract in the first place? There were three sixes near each other somewhere on a page, so he refused to sign. They reworked it, if he didn't read it through, not the skin's fault.
