As for GM, what has "sold" you about Dungy?

I haven't seen anything which suggests he could excel at personnel decision-making, or drafting. Same goes for Mike Holmgren and Marty Schottenheimer. I'd like to know where the idea got started that great coaches are automatically going to be great general managers.

Well Holmgren has had experience and some success already as a GM. I think Schottemheimer might actually be a better president than GM, you know more of a big picture guy. And that's kind of also why people think great coaches can make great GMs. They have that experience of overseeing almost a complete operation and they understand what it takes to have a successful team.

Yeah and then he'll bring the whole family, his son and brother. I'm sorry, but what has he done as far as winning a playoff game or even a SB to deserve such title with the Washington Redskins (this ain't Cleveland). If it was between Holmgren and Shottenheimer, I take Holmgren hands down, a proven winner all around. Heck, I would even take Marv "grandpa" Levy.

Would he be a step up from VC? Yes, would any of those people be a step up from Vinny? Yes

I think that more than anything has sold me, call me crazy for wanting to get better if not necessarily the best...
