Is it enough? Of course not, but it's like any apology, it's a start. |

All I can add is that while I was and still am upset about hm leaving before his time because of the effect it had on the organization, I don't hold it against him. I think he took ST's death really hard and that coupled with his grandson's illness was just too much. IMO he had earned it. But to excaberate the problem, Snyder and Vinny destroyed any continuity that could have been salvaged! Letting D. Williams go, not addressing the O-Line issues that have been apparent since 2005 (that one is on Gbbs, too), changing the entire offensive scheme, etc. - they took away a lot of stability that could have been salvaged when he decided to go. I hope that as soon as this horrid season ends Snyder takes the right actions and let them speak for themselves. While I don't give jack about what he says, I take this break from his tradition of not speaking to the press during the season as a positive sign... |

I hope this helps all of you....I know I apply these tried and true Presidental statements to everything if it's a disaster. Re: Snyder's "apology"
Its a start, but as others said I could care less.Fire Vinny and start drafting more from the trenches. That would show that the FO realizes they were wrong and they are now changing due to that.
This "apology" isn't that. I haven't changed my opinion and I wont till I see real change.

Re: Snyder's "apology"
I think he does want to win, but got to disagree with your last part of the statement. Snyder has kept the Redskins at the top of all NFL franchises since he's been there in terms of value, despite a subpar record over the last ten years. Why aren't the Giants or Eagles more valuable then?

What Snyder has done with offseason free agent frenzys of players AND coaches is make a losing franchise profitable. New season tickets are sold and locked up during these spring and summer months when the Skins are making big splashes...great from a marketing perspective. Within the last 2-3 months the Redskins were listed as the highest revenued NFL team pulling in $345 million dollars on the year. Now ask yourself...Does Dan Snyder want to win? ...in the illustrious words of Dan Snyder himself: "If it ain't broke don't fix it" Redskins Insider - Snyder and Gibbs Press Conference

Nope, the Giants Igglets and other don't own their own stadium like the SKins(Thanks to JKC)...the Giants will solve that next year, also the Giants don't over sell the team like Snyder does. |
