You know Andrew Crummey OL is on the Texans PS. Could we not bring him on board? or is there some expensive contract issue that keeps us from picking him up? Here's a list of some of the other teams PS OL...

Eric Young RT Rams
Trevor Canfield G Cards
Jermey Parnell T Saints
Chris Clark T Vikings
Johan Asiata G Bears
James Marten T Bears
Jaimie Thomas G Colts
Andrew Crummey OL Texans
Adam Stenavich T Texans

Edit: Andrew Crummey, Johan Asiata, and Trevor Canfield interest me.
There is nothing stopping us from raiding those players from the practice squads of other teams.

I would add that, if memory serves, Green Bay recently released Jamon Meredith and he might be worth a look.

and...I know the guys I listed may be camp scrubs which we always hear someone saying "otherwise they wouldn't be on the practice squad" but I'd almost prefer 4 or 5 young and healthy O-lineman blocking for JC at this point vs. wondering who is going to allow the jail break this time cause they are all playing injured. Wouldn't it be funny if we did pick up a bunch of young healthy guys and they found a way to bond this yr and actually blocked well.

Probably never happen but you never know.

Jason Ried just made a point that the Redskins had signed Kyle DeVan as an undrafted fa and then released him when Rinehart signed his contract. He started last week for the Colts. So whose to say at practice squad guy can't contribute?

I think that is not a bad idea. If we raided other practice squads for very young players, it would function as kind of a pre-draft. If a player works out then we have added a young promising lineman. If no one is good enough, what have we really lost in this dark year?

The problem is, at this point I do not trust Vinny to intelligently cull linemen from other rosters.
