Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread

Well despite the defensive and offensive eggs, the team has played fairly well in the first half, much different than other games....They usually do a good job adjusting at the half...so we'll see.

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread

We really need better kickoff return protection, and someone that is actually a threat to take it all the way.

Oh if not for that awful coverage on marshall and overthrowing Moss, I mean who knows. Well atleast we're still in it and I feel like we'll score more than 17.

Let's not start the what ifs...what if Orton didn't overthrow a WIDE OPEN royal on a deep pass?

At least we aren't getting our ass handed to us. And we get the ball starting in the second half. I'll take it.

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread

We need the running game back, our first drive went well because we were running the ball. As I said many times, JC is not going to win this game for the team. Levi Jones is doing a good job and Ganther is becoming a good option...though I don't think he's an inside runner.

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread

I D-Line is giving Orton to much time in the pocket we need to get more pressure without blitzing.

We need to get the ball to Moss on some quick passes, wr screens or reverse to use his play making ability.

Which basically is what happened in the first drive...we need to stick with what works. And we need our running game, we are inept when there's no running game.

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread

O-Line looks much better today thus far lets see the 2nd half. Def. has to make a few turnovers for us to have chance to win this game. Let go Skins......

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread

It's amazing that once we get our offense looking semi-respectable it's our defense that plays like shit. I can't believe how the defense has played in the first half. They've been letting the Broncos go up and down the field like they own the joint. And if they don't figure out how to stop the mental mistakes in the secondary it's gonna be a long afternoon.

And is anybody else scared by the prospect of Chris Simms coming in the second half if Orton can't play? I'm feeling shades of Byron Leftwich with Pitt last season and my lasting memory of Chris Simms will be 36-35 back in '05.
