You seem to think Betts has not been the starter because of preferential treatment for Portis? Betts fumbled his behind to the bench, and you know it.
Are you saying Portis doesn't get preferential treatment? What other player on the team could never practice and still start every game he is healthy? What other player could refuse to play in the preseason and still start? Marko Mitchell couldnt, Marcus Mason couldnt... He has a huge contract so of course he gets preferential treatment...most stars (or alleged stars) do to some extent.

Earned his starting position? I would argue the exact opposite. Betts has earned the starting position by being there week in week out practicing with the starting unit. A couple of redskin coaches seem to agree as well.

Betts has had two good games. Come on, I mean really. Betts fumbles too much. I don't forget stuff like that. Portis is clearly better than Betts, it's not hard to see. You want to punish Portis and reward Betts for practice, then when he fumbles the damn game away again then what? When he can't make one measely yard at the goal line. How many of yall remember that from last year? (against the Giants to win the game). Everyone criticized that move wondering why Portis was on the bench? You act like they been hiding Betts on the bench. Portis has not been explosive in the 8 games he has appeared in this year, but still had a 78 yrard run. If Betts received that hand off it would have been a good 10 to 15 yards. He would have run Sellers over and might have fumbled. I know how Betts runs.

HMMM, I remember watching a game not to long ago with Portis on the ground and the ball in the other teams hands as they score the winning points.

there are teams around the league that would love to have a quality back like clinton portis......but you're probably right.....portis is washed up at 27 years old and nearly 10000 career rushing yards
dude, lol, your not calling out anybody. your just making yourself look dumb and dumber.

I'll answer that for RacistLegend, since he won't...

Other than the Giants game and the Philly game, the Skins and Saints have played pretty much at the same times this year. So if RacistLegend has been watching his beloved Saints, he has not seen the Redskins.

Therefore all of his arguments about Portis are a matter of talking out of his ass because he hasn't seen the games that we have.

anyone who thinks portis isnt a good back is delusional

ive read your opinions of portis over the season and its obvious you spear head things when it comes to portis hating.....right now everybody is upset so they grab on to every pessimistic view of whatever anybody wants to talk about....but that gets in the way of facts

some thread about how many backs are worse than portis? are you really using a season in which he is injured and your redskins stink to judge whether the running back that is basically asked to carry your team is still talented?

...amazing
Im not hating...I don't think he is good, thats my observation from watching every game of his Redskins career. Just my opinion, but I think its shared by others with way more knowledge of the game.

Im not going to argue that he has put up good numbers in his career, I just think he is done being productive.

I don't get the whole "he is hurt" arguement....he has been hurt for the last 3 years....if he can't or won't prepare his body for an NFL season thats even more of an indication he should hang it up. Bottom line he just comes across as an entitled cry baby with a sub par work ethic....bad for the team.

Hurt all the time! is Felix jones. He has burst, he has explosiveness but he stays hurt. Portis is not in that category. Glad Dallas got that glass man Felix. Anyway Portis is not what he used to be because he is more. He is a work horse and he is a good blocker. He will do what it takes for the team to win. We can get a new shiny toy RB in the drasft to go along with the work horse. Until a new explosive back proves he is a work horse, keep that old work horse chugging then plug in the new toy for excitement. I give Portis so much credit for becoming a Joe Gibbs runningback. You can take your WCO offense back to Seattle Zorn.
