First off was Matty ( ) with his Shottenheimer won't be coming back. Then when I come back I see Matty pointing out that Marty has no wish to be a GM or HC ever again. Thanks friend.

Then freddy continues with the whole "don't be supprised it Zorn is retained".

Then 12th has to convincingly agree.

Then someone has to throw the aged old Blache in the mix for HC.

Thanks. Appreciate it. Better yet why hasn't someone mentioned Fassel? Definitly send me over the edge.
I maintain, I don't think Zorn is gone "no matter what." The only caveat would be, as SS has mentioned, if Shanahan and his crew come to D.C. Gruden sounds like he's out, and I never thought Holmgren was a serious candidate for the gig to begin with. But you never know. Cowher, I guess it could happen but not likely it seems. Tony Dungy ain't coming here for sure.

So after you get through the top three or four big names, who's really left? And equally as important, who's seriously interested? A few guys that are a little better than Jim Zorn? Unless we're bringing in someone with a lot playoff experience or Super Bowls under their belt, I'm leaning 60-40 for Zorn staying.

I can't envision any scenario that Zorn keeps the job next year. Outside of his 6-2 start he's 5-13, the offense is still pathetic and his decision making has been very questionable at best. The team still plays hard for him but they're professionals, they'd better play hard for anyone.

A lot of you guys are REALLY underestimating how Snyder is perceived by people around the league. We see the results but they see a guy who can be meddlesome but is willing to spend any amount of money to get a player or players the team wants. Most coaches would love to work for a guy who is willing to just stroke checks to whomever he wants and above all wants to win.

At the end of the day, money talks louder than anything.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

But do you think Shanahan would work for him?

Absolutely. Shanahan would have no problems working for Snyder. You forget that Bowlen is another big personality owner, as is Al Davis and Shanny worked for both of them. He would fit in just fine with him.

I don't know if either would be the others first choice (I think Shanny would prefer Dallas with Jones and Snyder would've preferred Gruden) but for the right overall package I think Shanahan will come.

I agree with Smootsmack's description of a President of Football Ops role with bringing his son as the Asst. Head Coach/successor. Most of his drafting errors were on the defensive side of the ball, where we seem pretty decent. I don't know how Slowick will do here because apparently he's become enamored with a 3-4 defense and I don't think our key DL personnel (Haynesworth, Carter, Orapko, Jarmon) are ideally suited for that.

At this point I'm just kinda ready for whatever will happen to happen.
