im from Lancaster county, home of the ultra conservative republican. but the are a ton of backwards rednecks here, too. that's what your seeing. Pa. is a beautiful place, but the people as a whole aren't very friendly. you can definitely tell the difference once you cross the Mason Dixon line. maybe they are looking for work? and if everyone has the same mind set that you have, it could be entertaining

I'll tell you what. How about you trade us all of your rednecks for our liberals? We can train your "up round state college" hill folk to have some manners. I've done it before. Our liberals are already pissed off assholes. They should fit in nicely up there. So is it a deal?

Yea but who makes up this consensus and if you notice it said "scientific consensus on global warming" leaving out man made global warming. Most scientists agree that the earth is warming its the cause that they disagree on.

Klaus says that he is in favor of "green" technology, but cautions that he is not in favor of the government dictating the development of the technology.

Wow, that is an excellent statement from the Czech president. I would quote and put in bold the best parts, but it would absolutely be the whole statement.

Flat-Earthers speaking on the topic of the structure of the universe. I wonder what John Tyndall's agenda was back in the 1850's. I can't fathom how anyone can think releasing CO2 with deforestation taking place at the same time is a good thing. Never mind the the warming impact of CO2 on the planet, how about the health impact on humans?

Victims of carbon dioxide (CO2) poisoning die of hypercapnia, a condition in which there is too high a buildup of carbon dioxide in the blood. Carbon dioxide is a waste product of the metabolic process of cells. It is exhaled by the lungs. Normally, the blood contains 40 mm Hg of CO2. Once the blood contains more than 45 mm Hg of CO2, hypercapnia will start to occur.

Hypercapnia can be caused by lung diseases such as emphysema, by reduced consciousness leading to hypoventilation, or by exposure to an environment in which the atmosphere has high levels of carbon dioxide present, such as in mine shafts.

CO2 is good for the planet indeed.
