Re: Better kickers available?
I said yes even though I can't blame two losses on him. Suish was a bandage for us a few years ago. He's not the greates kicker out there and most likely won't be. He's servicable. I, like everyone else, would love to have a great kicker here who can kick 50 plus yarders with no problem. Speaking of, I thought I saw a 50 plus kick last weekend from one of the college kids? was it the kid from Alabama? Playing Pitt? Anyway.

Re: Better kickers available?
We're a 3-9 team and as such, we're not fighing for a playoff spot. what on earth do we have to gain by cutting Suisham and signing another kicker for the remaining 4 weeks of our season? No one who'd be on the market now is worth keeping around in 2010, so we might as well keep the guy we got, see if he redeems himself, and then address the position as necessary in the offseason. I don't see how there's anything to be gained by "side-grading" the position now.

He didn't deserve a spot on the team at all. Sure he came out with a good start to the season, but recently he's returned to the kicker we all knew he actually is.

Re: Better kickers available?
but theres no sense making a move now. there's 4 weeks left in the season. the more field goals he misses, the better it is for us as we'll just secure a higher draft pick. besides, theres no one out there now who'll do a better job anyways.

Re: Better kickers available?
We know exactly what we have in Suisham. A kicker who does fine with 80% of his extra points, but can't come in and make a clutch kick....time to move on.

Re: Better kickers available?
Yeah, I can't fault Moore, he made a great INT when we're used to balls bouncing off our defenders' hands. Freakish play....good job by Meacham too.

Re: Better kickers available?
My money is on Gano. Nuget was replaced by Andrus who was replaced by Connor Barth. We already know what Novak can't do because Suisham replaced him.

Re: Better kickers available?
On ESPN980, Zorn said he didnt even speak to Suisham. Is that unusual?

Re: Better kickers available?
I'm going to lock this because we don't need three threads on our kicker
