I was at the game as well, and did see a large number of Saints "fans". My favorite was the Archie Manning jersey I saw on a woman no older than 20. The lettering of Manning was oversized and looked awful, and I can't find it on the Intrawebs to show (I saw a similar Shockey jersey). On to the smackdowns. While I'm not going to pin the loss 100% on Suisham, he has to make that kick. Period. High snap or not, bad hold or not, it's a 23 yard kick. It's a chip shot, essentially an extra point. Suisham has now missed 3 gut check kicks down the stretch that have absolutely murdered any momentum the team had. I've been a supporter of him since he got to DC, but I can no longer support him. Might as well give someone else a chance from here on out. At worst, it's a warm body and you can go in a different direction at year's end. At best, you have someone you can go into next year with.

Out of the 4 reviews that they did yesterday, 1 of them finished in less than 90 seconds, which is what I thought was the time limit. Then again, the booth was on the field in front of me (I was in Section 203) so I'm not sure how much lollygagging the referee was doing. Just seemed like forever...almost seemed to me that they were trying to keep the Saints record perfect. But that's a conspiracy theory for another time.

The video screens at FedEx need to be replaced. The review that stood with Meachem (I think) on the sidelines looked like his 2nd foot never got dragged before being out of bounds, so the entire stadium was shocked when it didn't get overturned. Snyder has the money, put some damn new boards in.

Other than that, the Skins played a pretty solid game yesterday, and aside from the flukes, they outplayed the Saints, so bravo to them. However, bad teams find ways to lose, and they certainly did that yesterday.

Oh, one more thing. Landry is awful. The Skins need to find a free safety to replace him and either put him back to strong safety or bulk him up to play linebacker.

Seeing it on TV it was crystal clear that he dragged his foot, I thought the crowd reaction was really odd, guess that explains it.

yeah it definitly looked like he only got one foot in those sorry ass dot matrix screens are soo freaking out dated. not to mention the stupid ass acorebord with the misletoe in the top corner with snow on the redskins at the bottom. only thing snyder cares about is more seasting in there which was atleast half empty in the club level

The stadium erupted when they pulled the replay up (Quite quickly, the quickest of any of the replays on the day) and it looked to us that he never got the 2nd foot in bounds. There were 2 Saints fans sitting 2 rows in front of me with their heads hanging because they thought it was going to be overturned.

I do remember another smack down. The field conditions were terrible. Almost like they didn't put the tarp down on Friday and let it snow and ice all over the field on Saturday to come up with less than stellar field conditions for a dome team coming to town on Sunday. I guess that's another conspiracy theory for another time as well...

it was more like god awful, it was really shitty right by the redskins sideline, from the 40 to the 20, it was like a mud pit there, the refs almost fell down when they tried to go to the booth. there is no way that section of the feild was covered at all

Thats what you call home field advantage. I read somewhere that Coach Gibbs would let the field go uncut to slow down a high powered offense. So letting the field go uncovered and getting sloppy is fine with me. The Saints are used to a perfect field so you have to take the advantage if it is given to you.

I can see keeping the grass high, but a sloppy field helps no one. And besides, what did Brees throw for yesterday? I'm gonna take a stab and say it really didn't benefit the Redskins, so why do it? Why risk the health of your players? Kinda like having a big concert on the field in the middle of the season...

The only thing I can think of is Zorn seen the way N.O. torched The Pats and he wanted to throw their timing off. Who is to say it worked or didn't. But im glad to see we havn't just thrown the towel in this year.

One angle made it look like a solid drag, one made it look like it was floating a bit high. Also I seem to remember the catching coming in very late on that foot. I don't know though, I'd have to re-review.
