But I think at that point they're more likely to just stick with Zorn. And then there's Pete Carroll who is rumored to be near the top of a couple of team's lists (though not the Redskins) and who spoke at length with the Redskins the last time around.

I've read that Cowher's not in the mix at all myself, but I simply can't beleive he wouldn't be. He's the "biggest fish" out there and I don't see how Snyder could help himself. I realize that the current organizational structure here isn't what Cowher (or any respectable coach) would want, but i think its understood that the organizational structure here would change to suit a guy like Cowher. Gibbs return to the Skins came out of left field. So did Zorn's hiring. I think whatever happens, its going to take most of us completely by surprise. I simply don't see Zorn staying though. After a season that will likely end at or below 5-11, Snyder can't keep him around. It would be a PR nightmare. Besides that, Zorn is really just an impotent figurehead right now. If Snyder can't land ahis "big fish," I think promoting Jerry Gray or Sherm Lewis becomes the most likely option.
