Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn supposedly added the word "former" to his title this morning and now it's just a matter of time before Mike Shanahan is named as the head coach in D.C.

He may not be in charge just yet, but Shanahan is already putting together his coaching staff, according to the Washington Examiner. Before Shanahan can be named, though, the Redskins have to reportedly interview secondary coach Jerry Gray again for the position, according to the Washington Post. When Gray was interviewed previously, it was before new general manager Bruce Allen had joined the club so he apparently needs to speak with Allen so that the team will comply with the Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview minority candidates for all top jobs, though in this case that process seems like a farce.

Shanahan will apparently have his son, Kyle Shanahan, leaving his spot as offensive coordinator with the Houston Texans to serve the same role with the Redskins. And Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is apparently going to be the guy in charge on that side of the ball for D.C. as soon as Shanahan takes over.

Info we already know. I presume your simply high lighting the specific part as to who will be the Coordinators.

I find it funny a Dallas fan is coming on our site to try and add info about our coaching situation. Shouldn't you guys be more worried about why the Eagles let you win and didn't show anything defensivly or offensively during the meaningless game? Oh I know it was meaningfull for you guys in Dallas so you could say you all took 1st place in the division. But now the Eagles have game film to look at in order to tackle you in the play offs. They gave you nothing to work with.

So if that were true, why risk getting thier players hurt? Why not sit them like the Colts or the Chargers?

So in your opinion, the Eagles surrendered a first round bye and the ability to have a playoff game at home, risked getting their starters hurt, JUST so they would not "show thier hand"?

C'Mon are you SERIOUS? Were you on Zorns staff?

When you make a speculation, at least have the courtesy to have evidence to back it up.

Totally serious. If they win would they get the bye? I think there are other NFC teams that have the bye and I don't think any were NFC East teams. Most likely they would have faced Dallas again. Why go out and play your hand? If they lose they knew they would get Dallas and would have more current film to study as to how they would be played. If they lose you don't think Dallas is going to say hey it worked lets just keep up the good work. Practice the same routine for the play offs and have the Eagles come out and stop everything your trying to do. Basically ensuring them a pass to the second round.

Yep I guess I'm just crazy. I most likely am wrong but I don't like either team. It will be funny if I'm right though. The Eagles come out and blast Dallas in the play offs.

As the day worked out, Philly would have had the bye week if they won. I think Dallas played to get in, something they haven't done in a long time, and Philly played an overconfident game after several tough but strong wins. I would be shocked if Philly doesn't hand it to them when they meet Saturday night. I would hate for Dallas to break their streak.

I know I'm giving Sand a hard time. Unfortunatly with the Eagles you never know what team will show up. Flip a coin. They could show up and lay a duck again, but I doubt it. I also don't believe Dallas is just so good they will shut out the Eagles again. Not going to happen. But I do believe Dallas may have shown too much of their hand. They were way up and still trying to beat the Eagles into submission. I think it will fuel the Eagles for being embarrassed and they will come out with a better game plan.

So I hope. I too don't want Dallas to break their streak. Then I can watch the Saints or Vikings hand it to the Eagles.

That game was for the division and a first round bye. Philly got straight up pimp slapped.
