I think there are only 3 to 4 names out there that would even have qualified for what the Redskins need. Not to be an idiot here, but is this thread title implying that Shanahan has been hired? That's how it reads, but none of the discussion states that, nor do I see any other sources confirming this. Has it been confirmed or does the thread need to be renamed?

He is in DC and is expected to be announced this week, maybe as early as today. I think its a pretty done deal. Lynch, who was calling the game Sunday said he talked to shanahan and said he pretty much thought Shanny was going to be here also.
