Re: Shanahan presser thread
The best part of the whole day was when Kelly Johnson asked MS about the recent comments between Portis and Cambell. His response made me smile. He basically told her that those things happen and that the Redskins would be a team that keeps that kind of stuff in house and that all of the players would know thats how he wants it.
There will be no more BS coming from #26 about teamates, coaches, whatever when it comes to the TEAM. I always hated that shit anyway. If a tem has some internal disagreements, Why do we as fans have to know about it? Too much inside access if you ask me and I think it all stops with MS. |

Re: Shanahan presser thread
I like this next step for the organization. It seems as though Shanny kept working although he was collecting his 7 mil from the broncos for not coaching. He has had an office set up in Denver from day one after being fired from the broncos. Mike was watching game film for 5 to 6 hours a day trying to find new wrinkles to run in his offenses. All of this comes from a great article on Shanny in the Washington Post.
I really think that this cold be a team that goes from worst to a factor right away. We have alot of talent and have had no leader. Well we fixed that finally. We have a guy who is a modern football genius and has a work ethis similair to gibbs 1.0. This is going to be a fun offseason, and a productive 2010 regular season. I am not putting a win loss record prediction up, but we have a guy in charge who can get things done. Is there anyone out there who knows MS's record against the NFC?

Re: Shanahan presser thread
Right now, I am all for uncontrolled optimism...Shanny said all the right things, DS is making an effort to act a certain way, in terms of talent, this defense is pretty solid and we have a few, emphasis on a few, solid pieces on the offense and with Shanny's help I see no reason why we can't turn this thing around.

Re: Shanahan presser thread
Buges doesn't fit with the zone blocking scheme Shanahan runs. I'm not sure what is delaying his retirement exactly, maybe he's just sticking around and wrapping up loose ends for now, but I don't see Buges coming back.

Re: Shanahan presser thread
I had heard on NFL Sirius radio that Bugel did retire. I have no link or anything but I have heard it was done. Tim and Pat were talking about it on Moving the Chains in thier opening yesterday on the radio show. As well as talking about Shanahan and BA.

I agree, best show on NFL radio. I think I almost would rather wax my butt crack than listen to adam schiens voice, that dude is almost impossible to listen to.

Re: Shanahan presser thread
Yeah he's such a freaking dork and his voice is extremely annoying. He over enunciates everything, I just find it hard to believe he talks like that all the time in his everyday life.

Re: Shanahan presser thread
Totally agree. I love moving the chains... Great Show T-Rock and Pat are probably one of my favorite radio combos ever. Those guys are extremely informative and none bias. Now Schien is one of the guys I listen to because I disagree with so much he talks about and throughly cannot stand his voice. That dude straight up gets on my nerves. AND HE HATES THE REDSKINS. "Thats all I have to really say about that.." good to work in a Forest Gump quote every once in awhile!

Re: Shanahan presser thread
The best thing I heard Shanahan say was regarding the talent level.
"We will look at the talent and ADAPT the scheme most effective for the talent....." THANKYOU.........HOLY HELL, THANKYOU MS
