Mort just alluded to the fact that Jake Locker might change his mind and that he would love for the chance to get coached by Shannahan. At the same time he would probably be drafted by the Rams and I doubt the Redskins try to trade up to Locker. By the same token he could try to pull and Eli Manning and tell the Rams he doesn't want to play for them basically leading to him falling to us at 4 but I doubt that happens.

Also going back to Brown, it's possible we could draft Okung and have our bookends for the next decade but I still say Shanahan goes with the QB first, especially considering he likes the type of Tackles that tend to fall during drafts due to lack of size.

And the fact that the virtue of the current tackle class, if it has one, is its depth, rather than its strength at the top.

Locker re-declaring would be excellent. Maybe the Rams would take Suh. Or maybe they would take Clausen, reasoning that he is more polished and NFL-ready. Either way, Locker would fall to us.
