One was being made at a birthday party for a friend, the other was about the President of the United States. You're right they are different.

If the Dems have standards, Reid will be forced to resign like Lott. He's going to lose his election huge anyways, but why keep him until then?

Much ado about nothing. I didn't find it offensive at all...he in fact spoke the truth and seeing he was an early supporter of Obama and encouraged him to run he gets a pass. Now if he was an Obama hater like Bill Clinton and said "a few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee," it's a different story. Come on man don't you know the left cannot be racist by the fact they are from the left. This is not important right now they need to work hard on health care, tax and trade, and terrorism the real work for the American people.

I'll give you some of that.. but some of those people do not hold office either. It must suck sitting there hearing a Dem say something that a Republican WANTS to say, but can't.

You could but, it still doesn't excuses the fact that he was in the same position not too long ago (btw, this was my original point but it requires reading between the lines). I'm inclined to believe this not what he meant given his own history of coming from nowhere though I could be wrong.
