F... gas prices

My boat has a 160 gallon fule tank which to fill up would cost me around $430. I only fill up the boat when I'm going to keep it in the water and the cost of gas at a marina is about 50 cents more per gallon. Filling it up to just run around the river some does not make sense because each extra gallon weighs about 8 pounds of extra weight.

ok, but 8 pounds, i just hadn't thought about it in those terms. Maybe i'll go by a gallon of milk and weigh it
